Here, we are highlighting a typical Unipave installation that is the gold standard for interlocking pavers.
The Unipave 223×111 profile is the gold standard for interlocking pavers as it provides strong interlocking properties for both transverse /flexural strength and compressive strength.
Hence, it is often used at airports, ports, industrial buildings and vehicular driveways.
In this case study, we are highlighting a residential application for the driveway as a classic example of the use of this profile.
The base design of the installation is Grey, with Black accents. The scope of work included the driveway and covered carpark lots.
Interlocking pavers were specified due to its lower cost and ease of installation. As the specifier, distributor and installer, BA Contracts is also able to provide the necessary support to the developers and main contractors throughout the handover period.
For the carpark lots, the outlines of the lot were identified using red pavers and the handicapped logo was also outlined using blue and white pavers. This reduces the maintenance cost of the carpark lots as the colour pigment is impregnated into the pavers and will not crack over time.
Directional arrows were painted on using thermoplastic paint as they were too narrow to be cut. For larger arrows, it can be formed via white or yellow interlocking pavers as well.
